Looking for investors? The 2013 AVCC will present you with the opportunity to meet and network with potential investors in the healthcare space. This year’s conference presentations will be divided in 3 tracks: startups, later stage companies and a student track. Please review the information that pertains to your track below.
Please be sure to submit your application for consideration by September 30th, 2013.
Startup and Later Stage
Startup and Later Stage companies from the following areas of the healthcare sector are eligible to apply:
- Healthcare IT and services
- Medical Devices and Technology
- Specialty Pharmaceuticals
- Therapeutic
- Drug Delivery
- Diagnostics
- Mobile Wellness. Mobile Healthcare, Telemedicine
Startup Presenting Company Criteria:
- Application & Presentation must be done in English
- “Proof of Concept” – proven market adoption
- Minimum Viable Product (MVP) or service, commercially tested
- Management team in place
- Established business model, generating revenue or ready to generate revenue
- Compelling Product, Technology, Service or Market Position – there must be a fundamentally exciting or disruptive technology, a unique service or approach to an attractive market, or other distinguishing characteristics.
- Significant business & revenue generation potential in Latin American, Caribbean or South Florida, regardless of headquarters.
Later Stage Presenting Company Criteria:
- Application & Presentation must be done in English
- “Proof of Concept” – proven market adoption and established user base
- Minimum Viable Product or service (Pe-revenue acceptable)
- Excellent management team in place
- Proven business model with potential positive gross margins
- Significant business in Latin America, Caribbean or South Florida, regardless of headquarters

Student Track Competition
There will also be an opportunity for students to submit projects to present at the AVCC in a separate student competition. Students, or student teams, must be full or part-time students in good standing at a Florida college or university. Eligibility is subject to verification of student status.
Student projects must be in the concept stage in order to qualify for the competition. NOTE: If the product or service presented in your project is already being produced and sold, it does NOT qualify for submission.
